is my favorite actor’s birthday!

Happy Birthday, Johnny!

In honor of his birthday, I made a donation to the 2007 Birthday Project at the Johnny Depp Zone. It’s a charity campaign in his honor collecting donations for the Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, one of the leading children’s hospitals in the world.

After the wonderful medical care DD11 has received these past (almost) 6 months since her type I diabetes diagnosis, I’m happy to be able to make a small contribution to a hospital that helps so many children and their families.

I’m proud to donate in honor of an actor who has been true to himself, shows his fierce love and devotion to his family, is loyal to friends and truly appreciates his employers (fans).

I hope that this year brings health and happiness to Johnny Depp and his family and that the Birthday Project donations help to bring healing and a bit of comfort to patients of the hospital and their families.

Judy Blem’s photos of The Kids (with Johnny Depp) playing at the Sheila Witkin Benefit Memorial Concert are great! Take a look. 🙂

Which Johnny Depp character are you?

You’re J.M. Barrie from Finding Neverland

You’re Johnny Depp as a neatly-dressed Londoner who dances with his big, fluffy dog in the park, just to make strangers laugh. Like J.M. Barrie, the writer who created Peter Pan, you get a kick out of entertaining kids. You believe a playful attitude helps keep people young and that creativity is an essential part of life. You’re polite, friendly, and respectful, except when a bitter, boring person criticizes your choices or childlike ways. (Hmm… maybe you should name an evil villain after him/her?) If someone you love is in danger, you don’t look for a practical solution. You fix things with the most important tool you have—your imagination.

5% of the people who took this quiz got the same evaluation.

Yes, it’s true. I’m bored. Thus – this quiz.

J. Depp

A friend found this photo of Johnny that was taken a few days ago in California after a day of filming Pirates of the Caribbean 3.

Aah. Much better, savvy? 🙂
