World Diabetes Day Doodle for Google

Have you ever noticed Google’s logo doodles?  I once saw an interview with one of the artists.  It was fascinating.  Look here to see an archive of doodles (holiday logos).

I’d love to see a doodle for World Diabetes Day on November 14, wouldn’t you?  Go sign the petition asking Google to create a World Diabetes Day doodle. We’re trying to get 20,000 signatures in hopes that this will show Google how important World Diabetes Day is.

Well, what are you waiting for?  GO!  Go sign it! It’s free, but would help bring awareness to so many.  You can pat yourself on the back and feel proud of doing a good deed after you type your name and a few other small details in the little boxes.

Now, GO!

This year, TuDiabetes.com and DiabetesDaily.com, have teamed up to launch a petition to ask Google for a World Diabetes Day doodle:

Being that this is a project that would help us raise awareness for the benefit of all people with diabetes, we ask you to please become a part of this initiative.

You can copy and paste the copy on my blog post (feel free to link to TuDiabetes, but you don’t have to) or modify it as you see fit:

If you want ideas on what you can write or who you can tell, read what Kerri Morrone wrote today:

THE GOAL IS TO GET MORE THAN 20,000 signatures so that we can get Google’s attention… and hopefully see a World Diabetes Day doodle on their home page, Nov. 14.

Thanks for your support and let’s shoot for 20,000 signatures!!! We can make it.

let’s go

Evidently, “OK guys, let’s go,” at my house doesn’t really mean let’s walk out the door and start toward our destination.

In the language of my people, it clearly means something along the lines of go into the bathroom, shut the door and proceed to fix your hair while yelling out how unfair it is that you’ve just not had time to get ready yet.

Who knew that a new language had been created right under my nose!

Happy Tuesday!
