I saw this on Ginger’s blog & was curious what I’d turn out to be.

Your Element is Metal

Your power colors: white, gold, and silver

Your energy: contracting

Your season: fall

You are persistent (and maybe even a little bit stubborn).
If you see something you want, you go for it.
You have a lot of strength, and it’s difficult to get you down.
Very logical, you tend to analyze everything going on in your life.

the right thing

(a 100 words entry)

The result of doing the right thing stinks sometimes. My youngest daughter recently discovered this. Some of the kids in her class were writing answers on their hands. Daughter told the teacher. He threw out their tests. Some of those kids called her a tattler. Her teacher told her that she did the right thing by informing him. I reminded her that doing the right thing is NEVER wrong and that it is better to be sad when someone is mean about being truthful or honest instead of feeling guilty for knowing about the cheating and not saying anything.

the future

(a 100 words post)

My youngest daughter is so funny sometimes. Just now, she was asking me why I have to save money for “her future” (said with much rolling of her eyes) since the future is so far away. I told her that she’ll be growing up before we know it and will need that money for a car, for college, and other things like that. She said, “nine years is 108 months. That’s more than enough time to save money. Why can’t I spend what’s in my account now & you can start over?” I told her it doesn’t work that way.

My ten year old son went to his first NBA game with his dad last night. The New Orleans Oklahoma City Hornets are here this year and my son has been asking to go to a game since it was first announced. The funny thing is that ex husband knows the assistant coach, as he was the assistant coach for the Bulls when ex played a preseason there. Ex saw the assistant coach when they first went into the arena. The assistant coach was thrilled to see ex and offered to leave tickets whenever I’d like to take the kids.
