Bit of Fun Personality Test

Here’s the result of my test:

You come to grips more frequently and thoroughly with yourself and your environment than do most people. You detest superficiality; you’d rather be alone than have to suffer through small talk. But your relationships with your friends are highly intensive, which gives you the inner tranquility and harmony that you need in order to feel good. However it is no problem for you to be alone for extended periods of time, without becoming bored

The Politics Test

I saw this on two blogs… Ginger’s and Teflonjedi’s… thought I’d give it a go:

These results are kind of funny to me… I’m not a registered Democrat anymore. I changed my political affiliation a few years ago. Should I rethink it? Dunno. Maybe I will delve a little deeper before making any decision since this is just an internet quiz.

Do you Su Doku?

I sometimes read through the USA Today top 150 books list to see which books look interesting. As I browsed the list earlier this week, I noticed that several of the top books were about Su Doku. I had no idea what this was. I googled it and found a newspaper site with a daily Su Doku puzzle to work. The solution is given the following day.

I’m going to give this a go and see how I am at Su Doku. Anything to keep the brain active, right? This will be something to occupy my mind as I sit on hold when calling insurance companies this week at work.

100 words

I enjoy posting at 100 words. A lot of the shorter entries here are copies of my daily entry at that site.

Sometimes, it’s hard to get my point across in such a small number of words, but I feel that it’s helped me not use unnecessary words, as I did before.

Company picnic

Yesterday was my company picnic. We went to Frontier City, an amusement park that’s a smaller version of Six Flags over Texas. Actually, it’s owned by the Six Flags corporation. Over twelve hundred employees and family members attended. My children and I invited my ex-husband to go with us since he is leaving for Iraq in a month for a one year tour. We had a really good day and I took a lot of good photos of the kids with their dad. It wasn’t uncomfortable to have him with us. I’m glad we’re able to get along now.

I have been reading about the side effects of caffeine. I am appalled. The more I read, the less coffee and soda I drink. Surprisingly I have not had withdrawal headaches like I do when I quit cold turkey. I have tried to quit drinking caffeinated drinks before and had such severe headaches that I thought I had a migraine. I felt nauseated and feverish, even. As soon as I had a soda or coffee, the headache went away. Now I am drinking decaf coffee and much less soda. Only one soda a day instead of four or five.
