My youngest daughter

will be home on Monday night. Today she went to stay for 2 nights with her best friend. Tonight they were going to an outdoor concert (Katrina and the Waves), tomorrow they’re going to a water park & Monday spending the day at the lake boating.

I’m sure she’s having a blast. I miss her. It seems so quiet without the constant bickering between her & my oldest daughter. WHY in the world do I miss that? It usually drives me nuts. I don’t miss that (the bickering), actually.

I just miss her. Her smile, her funny laugh, her constant questions about why things are the way they are. I’m blessed to have her for a daughter.

I’m thankful to have the chance to realize that. It’s easy to push those thoughts to the side when I’m focused on getting the daily things done— making beds- brushing teeth- homework- fighting- bills- laundry- dinner—that I’ve been given 3 awesome kids. I mean, they’re KIDS.. but overall, they’re a joy.

OK. Enough being sappy. I’ll save it for when they’re at church camp for a week! LOL

National Treasure

Just watched this movie with my kiddos. How nice to be able to watch a rated PG movie that was actually good!

My kids loved it. I wasn’t sure if they would. Usually they like movies that I find so very annoying… typical kid movies. I’m a Nicholas Cage fan, so I knew I’d like the movie even if the “movie” wasn’t so great. 🙂
